How to use and clean

Start using LifeStraw by uncapping both ends and standing it up in water for 10 seconds. Then take 5 quick sips from the
mouthpiece. Upon first use or anytime the filter is dry, uncap both ends and stand it up in safe water (keeping mouthpiece out of water and dry) for 20 seconds to allow water to prime the filter. Then take 5 quick sips to get water flowing. When returning from a hiking trip, rinse with safe tap water, uncap both ends, and let dry before placing it away in storage.Regularly blow air through your LifeStraw after drinking to keep the filter clean and prevent it from clogging.

When to Replace

LifeStraw® filter will no longer filter water when the product has reached the end of its working life. Inability to sip water through
LifeStraw® indicates that the product should be replaced.
